MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging)
MRI uses a powerful magnetic field, radio waves and a computer to produce detailed pictures of organs, soft tissues, and other internal body structures. The images can then be examined on a computer monitor or printed to provide accurate diagnosis and treatment planning for your pets’ medical issues.
At American Pet Clinic, we use the GE Signa Excite HD MRI which offers a number of features including:
- High field 1.5 Tesla GE MRI
- Channel High Definition receive chain
- Neurology specific coils
- Advanced anesthetic monitoring
- Immediate interpretation
Neurology & Neurosurgery
Our board-certified veterinary neurologist commonly uses our high-definition MRI scanner for the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the brain, spinal cord, muscles and nerves of animals.
